Mission
To protect the best interest of Indian children and to promote the stability and security of Indian Tribes and families by implementing the requirements in the Kalispel Tribal Law and Order Code, Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and Tribal customs, traditions, laws and policy.
The Kalispel Tribe Indian Child Welfare Department acts in the best interest of the child. They advocate for Tribal children in State and Tribal court jurisdictions. Please contact the Indian Child Welfare Program if you know of a Kalispel child who has suffered abuse or neglect, or whose family may be at risk and needs services to prevent child abuse and neglect.
